Lorne Park Prairie
1070 Queen St W, Mississauga
As one of Mississauga’s two tallgrass prairies, Lorne Park Prairie is home to many pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Many rare species depend on plants that can only be found in tallgrass prairies.
We would like to thank nearby residents for their support and commitment to helping us maintain this native jewel in Mississauga’s Lorne Park neighbourhood.
To learn about how you can help monitor Mississauga’s other tallgrass prairie at Jack Darling Memorial Park, visit our Prairie Watch program webpage.
