Questions To Ask

Ask what children think a spiders web is made of, record the responses.

When children see bugs talk about what kind of bug it is and how it moves

Ask children to close their eyes while they read the book and ask what the web feel like.

 
Things To Do

Have children try to recreate a spiders web using lots of different materials, paper, crayons, wool, string, tape, cotton or playdough.

Ask children to share their webs and explain what they used to make it and why.

Print photos of different bugs and ask children to name them.
