Mandatory Liability Insurance Information
The City of Mississauga has a mandatory Liability User Insurance Program that is required in order to rent ice. If you are a coach or resident looking to rent ice, please read the information below regarding liability insurance.
Coaches
Mississauga House League coaches are not covered for Liability Insurance through the Mississauga Hockey League liability insurance plan between
April 15 - September 15 each year. Ice booked during this time frame must be booked using your family account.
Residents
If you are a resident, looking to rent ice online, the City of Mississauga has a mandatory Liability User Insurance Program which will be added to your contract.
If you have your own insurance, you are unable to book online. Contact the Customer Service Centre at 905-615-4100 select 2,1 to book and provide proof of liability insurance coverage.
Non Residents
The online booking option is not available to non residents, contact the Customer Service Centre facility bookings at 905-615-4100 select 2, 1.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking to rent ice for a 5 skater, please contact the Customer Service Centre as this cannot be rented online.
Other Information for Coaches
There are two types of connect2rec accounts that can be used to rent ice. Please see below for the type of account you should use.
Family Account: is used to register for City programs or rent facilities that are for your personal use e.g. pool for child’s birthday party, ice rink for a family skate, gym for a family event.
Organization Account: if you are a registered coach with an affiliated Mississauga youth organization you can rent ice time for extra team practices or exhibition games.
For City Wide Seasonal Allocation please fill the Arena Ice/Floor Request Form.
Associations that can Rent Ice Online
If you are a registered Coach with any of the following organizations and have an account with the City of Mississauga you can rent ice online using your pin and barcode. If you do not have an account or have forgotten your Pin & Barcode please contact the Customer Service Centre at 905-615-4100 select 2, 1.

The following approved Minor Hockey Associations can book ice online.

- Mississauga Girls Hockey League
- Mississauga Ringette
Greater Toronto Hockey League Associations
The following approved GTHL Associations can book ice online.

- Mississauga Terriers
- Ice Warriors
- Streetsville Tigers
Figure Skating Clubs
The following approved Figure Skating Clubs can book ice online.
- Mississauga Figure Skating
- Streetsville/Meadowvale Figure Skating
- Port Credit Figure Skating
