Make personal connections to the book (what's your favorite snack?)

Read it a second time pausing each page to see if children remember what comes next

At the end you can children about their favorite illustration or favorite part of the book, ask them why it is their favorite.

Set up playdough, cookie cutters, rolling pin as a starting point, and offer children the opportunity to participate
