Ask about the moon, what different moon shapes look like, a crescent moon, a full moon, etc.…

Older children may ask why the moon changes, research this together as part of a science lesson

Ask children about cats, who has a cat, talk about cats and how they act.

 
Things To Do

After reading through the book once, have children go back and tell the story through the pictures.

Draw with charcoal to mimic the black and white drawings in the book

Go out at night and look at the moon together, talk about what it looks like, write it down and document it.
