COVID-19 PANDEMIC SERVICE UPDATE
Here at the City of Mississauga, the health and safety of our residents, clients and staff remains our top priority. Following the recommendations of health officials we have encouraged staff to begin working from home in order to do our part to help prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. During this time we are suspending services at the Planning and Building Services counter until further notice. We would ask all general inquiries be processed via our 3-1-1 Contact Centre (905-615-4311 outside city limits).
For all general inquiries such as determining your property's zoning, building permit application requirements or fee information we would encourage you to visit our online resources available at Planning & Building Webpage.
Otherwise you can contact our 3-1-1 Contact Centre (by dialing 905-615-4311) who will forward your call to the appropriate representatives for response.
Building Permits and Planning Applications
The Planning and Building Department continues to process all existing and new development applications and building permit applications.
Site Plan Applications
For online applications, you will remain able to apply, update and complete application related tasks via our ePlans portal. For current applications, we encourage any updates and communication regarding the planning file be directed to the Planner assigned to the application via phone call or email.
OPA & Rezoning Applications
For resubmissions, new Official Plan and/or Zoning By-law applications, please call 3-1-1 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to communicate with a member of the Planning Services Centre (PSC) Team.
Application Related Inquiries
If you have questions regarding the conditions identified within your project status report we would encourage you to contact the reviewer directly via email in order to have your concerns addressed.
Building Permit Inspections
Services at the Inspection Services counter, located on the 2nd floor Civic Centre, are suspended until further notice. Inspections can be scheduled online at Building Permit Inspections using the Permit # and Web Access ID noted on the Building Permit Notice Card. However, in the interest of maintaining the health and safety of residents, clients and staff, we ask that inspection requests be prioritized and/or deferred where possible.
Please be advised that the following payments are only being accepted electronically by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or wire transfer at this time:
- payments for building permit related fees that cannot be paid through the Cityĺs ePlans portal
- payments for development charges and/or cash-in-lieu of parkland dedication
