Peta-Gaye Nash was born in Kingston, Jamaica but she has made Canada home for twenty years. I Too Hear the Drums is her first short story collection published in 2010. Her work has appeared in several anthologies and she has also written six children’s books. Peta-Gaye won the 2015 Marty Awards for Emerging Literary Art and in 2013 she got an honorable mention for the same award. A graduate of McMaster University, Peta-Gaye teaches English as a Second Language in Mississauga, Ontario where she lives with her husband Dominique and their four children.
