Michael James Karowich was born in Sarnia and completed his undergraduate degree in architecture at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. After getting a Masters in architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art in Copenhagen, Denmark, he was "ready to tackle the world.” Over the next twenty-two years, his career blossomed in architecture, planning and urban design, providing a solid foundation in city building. It is through these eyes that Michael explored this complex and ever-changing world that included six continents and four oceans, through a unique and often unsuspecting perspective. As an accomplished architect, artist and urban designer for the City of Mississauga, he brings those cornerstone passions to vivid life in his writings and artwork.
