Jay Gajjar

Jay Gajjar, C.M., M.A. immigrated to Canada in 1970 from India where he was a Professor of languages and owned a printing business. For his dedicated works and service in his new community, he received many awards and the “Order of Canada” in 1993.

Community service is part of Gajjar’s nature, but literature is in his blood. Besides writing nine Gujarati novels and two English novels, he has been broadcast on All India Radio and CBC Television.

In 2006, Andhino Ujas was named the best novel published by the Overseas Gujarati writers.
