| A. Lawati was born in Pakistan, but spent much of his adult life in the Middle East and North America. He is now settled in Mississauga with his wife and teenage son. The Jungle Adventures of Chimpoo is his first book. Mr. Lawati has worked in several fields (banking, legal, transportation and training race horses) but his true passion is writing books for young people. Because of his extensive travels, he is able to blend eastern and western cultural values into stories with a relevant message for his young readers.
